Five Dollar Gold Coin

Minting began on American Five Dollar gold coins in 1795, but only the last two types that were produced are typically seen on the gold collections market. We’re proud to sell both the popular Indian Head and Liberty Head five dollar gold coin pieces, and would encourage anyone with an interest in gold for collections or security to consider buying these coins.

Liberty Head coins are the rarer of the two types, but in both cases, those from certain years stand out. An Indian Head five dollar coin minted in 1929 would be considered the rarest of its kind, as would any from the 1894-S Louis Elaisberg Collection. What is unique about the Indian Head fives is that they feature a sunken design; as opposed to the more commonly found raised marking on American gold coinage.

Both types are well-crafted, valuable pieces that we recommend to any buyer.
